Set-up Day Two......

Day two begins with smile, a Clip board and some tools

 

 

 

 

Loading in 300 bags of ice...

Very important to make sure the hats fit right.

By the end of the day we had the bars set.  Fronts....

And our specially built inside bar storage rooms.

24 Buffets ready...

and so are the holding areas behind the curtains.

Dessert and coffee stations ready to go..

Done for the day.  All ready for tomorrow.

Now Cocktail with our clients......  What?  We were making sure we had the specialty drink mixed just the why they like it. Its a tough Job but someone has to do it :-)

We toasted each other and then the client says "Congratulations you did it" I about fell on the ground LMAO "a little early for that, meet me back here in about 29 hours and well do this again"

This time tomorrow it will all be over.  I sit here tired but relaxed, I don't think we could be more ready then are.  Tomorrow is when it gets hard.  At 4:00 we start to check in 400 staff members, that is when we turn from event planners to people managers.  That is truly going to be the hard part.

Set-up Day one.....

My morning started out with a 7:30 am phone call (note, my alarm was just getting ready to go off after maybe 4 hours sleep) ..."Hello Kelly this is Bob from Acorn and I am here with your water delivery"... well Bob if you were here with my water delivery my husband is going to be upset that another man is in my bed....."Bob you were sopposed to be there after 9:00 am"..."Oh, I thought I would do you a favor and get there early" ...... "Bob you just woke me up, does that sound like a favor?"....  Well here are my 20,000 bottels of water and one case of forks.
